The City of Batesville is excited to announce that our new grapple truck is here! We realize that brush and limbs are everywhere now. Between all of the storms and pretty weather we have had lately, residents are putting stuff out faster than we can pick it up. We are asking our residents to be patient with us as we have only had one grapple truck running and trying to keep up with about 4800 residences in town. This new truck will be a huge asset and hopefully we will see significant progress soon. What can YOU do to help us out?? Please make sure that your brush is separate from all garbage, leaves and Class 4 items. Make sure that it is several feet from your garbage can and that there are no trees or overhead lines that could be caught or damaged by the grapple truck. Please do not block sidewalks or city streets. As always, professional tree trimmers are responsible for removing debris they have cut down. They are paid to remove these items and should not be left for the City to pick up. Thanks for your understanding and corporation.
